Western Conference Power Rankings
What’s up everybody. The Suns kept their winning streak alive in a close win against the TWolves and are getting a Luka-less Mavericks team tonight which should make for an easy W. The Bulls continue to impress on their road trip with another game coming tonight against the Blazers. The Warriors Nets game last night was awesome and would be a very fun Finals matchup. Steph is just ridiculous, he has 3 games with 9+ threes made over his last 5 games. Absurd. So much fun to watch, that Warriors team is en fuego, I think they are Finals favorites even without Klay. If they can keep this up we could very well be looking at the best Warriors team we’ve seen - including the KD era. The KD era was definitely the best offensive team we have seen, but from an all-around standpoint, this Warriors team might be better, but let’s not over react just yet. We aren’t even a third of the way through the season. With that, can you guess who tops my Western Conference Power Rankings? Yup.
Western Conference Power Rankings:
Golden State Warriors - Not much needs to be said here. If you know you know, and if you don’t know, ask somebody. 12-2. Steph is leading the offense and is putting up MVP numbers, and Draymond is the focal point of the D, and they are playing good team D. Klay coming back soon, yikes.
Phoenix Suns - their 9 game winning streak isn’t enough to put them at the top, but they are rolling just the same. They look to make it 10 tonight with a game against the Mavs - Luka is out.
Denver Nuggets - The Nuggets just keep finding a way to win. Just like in the East, this middle chunk of teams could really be arranged in a number of ways, if the Nuggets can stay in contention until Jamal comes back they will be a tough team come playoff time.
Utah Jazz - They are who we thought they were. They always have success in the regular season, until they prove something in the playoffs I am not going to get too excited.
Los Angeles Clippers - Paul George is doing what he needs to do. They looked pretty rough early on but they have had a solid stretch in early November, until they ran into the Bulls of course.
Dallas Mavericks - It’s the Luka show, but in their last game Porzingis showed out. If he can play to his potential consistently this team will climb the ranks. Luka is out today but it doesn’t sound like it is something that will keep him out for awhile.
Memphis Grizzlies - I love this team, they have so much heart. They battle in every match up and watching Ja develop has been a lot of fun. Keep Ballin Grizz!
Los Angeles Lakers - If I had to describe this team in one word - Disorganized. There is no direction and Lebron being out is not doing them any favors. Look for this team to get right down the stretch but right now it looks like an ugly experiment.
Portland Trailblazers - Back n forth, this team is like a teeter totter. They come out and look good one game, and look like trash the next. It’s the same story different year, but until they can shore up the defensive side of the ball, I don’t expect any consistent winning from this team.
Sacramento Kings - I expected the Kings to be better than last year, but they look better than I expected this early in the year. They have slipped here recently, but they still put a good product on the floor. Look for them to be dangerous in the next year or two.
Minnesota Timberwolves - This team should be better than they are. I don’t know if it’s coaching, management, or just poor team chemistry. They have the pieces to be a playoff team, but they just can’t seem to make that translate to W’s on the court.
Oklahoma City Thunder - This is a young team, we didn’t expect much and that’s exactly what they are giving us. Giddey has been fun to watch and SGA still shines.
San Antonio Spurs - THe Spurs always deserve respect, Pop will always put together a solid game plan, but they have some growing to do.
New Orleans Pelicans - They are missing Zion. With him on the court I think they could be a fringe playoff team, but if they continue to slide, they are going to have a tough time climbing back in.
Houston Rockets - Just a young team, they have solid young pieces and I think come the end of the season they will begin to come together, but it takes time. Still a team I like to watch on LeaguePass because of Jalen Green (Future ROY)
There you have it, your Western Conference Power Rankings. Plenty of action tonight to possibly shake things up. As always, thanks for reading, have a happy hump day, I’ll have overall power rankings out soon, until then, this is All Net.
